Keeping in view of the present day state of all-round degradation of Himalayan environment encompassing from the state of Jammu & Kashmir to North East states, the task of its protection and conservation is urgent and of utmost significance and can not be achieved by less than of an equally gigantic task of forming a Himalayan Environment Protection force (HEPF), on the lines of Border Security Force, having following five divisions.
  • Civil Engineering Division
Besides, the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Brahamputra more than ten thousand water steams & small rivers are flowing between two mountains from J&K to North-East. Region. During rainy season there is tremendous quantity of water in these steams and rivers but water of most of these rivers flow downward and escapes with the main river water without much benefit to the Himalayan region and on the other hand this water brings havoc in plains in the shape of devastating floods causing enormous loss to lives and property. Besides, most of these rivers dries up completely during summer. Therefore, there is an urgent need to construct "Check Dams" at every furlong on each of these rivers so that excess water only could flow down during rainy season and the rest is directed to recharge the inner water bodies and retained for summer which could be used for production of fish and other useful purposes.

  • Cold Water Fishery Division
With the construction of enormous number of check dams (Reservoirs of water), fishery can be produced on a tremendous scale enough to meet the fish requirement of the whole country, besides surplus fish production could be exported .This will provide one of the revenue support for this proposed newly formed Himalayan Environment Protection Force (HEPF).

  • Tree Nursery Division
This division spread over to all Tehsil / blocks, of Himalayan region for growing nursery of fast growing and water conserving trees of various kind suitable for the Himalayan region

  • Manual tree plantation division
This division may be responsible for planting trees on the hill terrains and valleys.

  • Helicopter Division
This division may undertake to sow large quantity of seeds of different water conserving forest and wild fruits tree all over the inaccessible high altitude of naked Himalaya through helicopter at favourable weather conditions so that at least 20-25% of the seeds could germinate and grow into trees transforming the naked surface of Himalaya into green augmenting natural sources of water and growth of timber and herbal produce in a big way.

  • Himalayan Environment Protection force (HEPF)
There was a common belief in the past that India is well fortified from any foreign invasion as it has Indian ocean, Arabian sea, and Bay of Bengal on its three sides and on north by the Himalaya which serve as a sentinel. But this belief no longer hold good now. since Himalayan ranges are quite long and widespread and with modern and advanced means and techniques of warfare, there is always a threat of foreign infiltration, incursion and invasion from this side. As such the proposed Himalayan Environment Protection Fore (HEPF) ,if formed, in addition to its bonafide mandate at times can be of great help to provide vital security surveillance inputs from its northern front. This will prove to be of a great significance in perverting Kargil, like incidents to happen in future thus will enable to protect India's soverenity from any external threat coming from its Northern Frontier. Besides this will have salutary effect in improving the Himalayan environment and its eco system in a big way and also result in successfully addressing the problems of poverty, unemployment and migration of the people from the Himalayan State. This will also have multiplier effect in boosting rural economy of these states which will open a new era of significant rural development of Himalayan states.

Keeping in view of the present day state of all-round degradation of Himalayan environment encompassing from the state of Jammu & Kashmir

The society will endevour to achieve these objectives through its following three tyre functional formations.
